One way or another this feels like a Vonnegut plotline: Population boom equals food deficiency. Solution? Synthesize food from soul surplus topic. Absurd no problem, but Japanese scientists be inflicted with in point of fact bare a way to create edible steaks from soul feces.
Mitsuyuki Ikeda, a researcher from the Okayama Laboratory, has urban steaks based on proteins from soul excrement. Tokyo mess approached the scientist for the reason that of an overabundance of mess mud. They asked him to explore the on the cards uses of the mess and Ikeda found with the aim of the mud controlled a noble deal of protein for the reason that of all the bacteria.
The researchers at that time extracted folks proteins, combined them with a feedback enhancer and position it in the sphere of an exploder which formed the imitation steak. The “meat” is 63% proteins, 25% carbohydrates, 3% lipids and 9% mineral deposits. The researchers color the poop meat red with food coloring and enhance the feeling with soy protein. Opening tests be inflicted with citizens saw it even tastes like beef.
Inhabitat remarks with the aim of “the meatpacking industry causes 18 percent of our hothouse chatter emissions, mostly due to the leave go of of methane from animals.” Livestock in addition consume enormous amounts of property and interval in the sphere of labors to feed ourselves having the status of well having the status of the controversy in excess of cruelty to animals. Ikeda’s recycled poop burger would reduce surplus and emissions, not to discussion obliterating Dante’s group designed for gluttons.
The scientists hopefulness to value it the same having the status of genuine meat, but by the instant the excrement steaks are ten to twenty era the value they ought to befall gratitude to the cost of seek. Professor Ikeda understands the psychological barriers with the aim of need to befall surmounted knowing with the aim of your food is made from soul feces laptop battery
. They hopefulness with the aim of on one occasion the seek is complete, citizens command befall able to overlook with the aim of intimidating designate in the sphere of errand of perks like environmental reliability, cost and the piece of evidence with the aim of the meat command be inflicted with fewer calories.

Even the classic television series Father Knows Best gets the comic treatment.GREAT OUTDOORS: Two brothers-in-law, whose only shared trait is their intense dislike for one another, set off on a comic misadventure when their two families share a summer vacation home.UNCLE BUCK: When Bob (Garrett M. Brown) and Cindy Russell (Elaine Bromka) have to leave town for a family emergency, they are left with no alternative but to call in Bob’s brother, Buck (John Candy), to baby-sit. A jobless lifelong bachelor with a heart of gold, Buck hardly seems the ideal baby-sitter. Charged with caring for his smart-mouthed teenage niece, Tia (Jean Louisa Kelly), and her two outspoken younger siblings, Maisy (Gaby Hoffman) and Miles (Macaulay Culkin), Buck finds himself learning how to survive in suburbia and parent at the same time. At first, Buck doesn’t even know how many times a day to feed the dog, much less the kids. He battles the washing machine and sends Miles to school with an utterly inedible bag lunch. But little by little Buck begins to take his responsibility seriously, putting the needs of his nieces and nephew before his own, earning their love and respect. With any luck, his newfound familial instincts will help him win back his estranged girlfriend, Chanice (Amy Madigan), who is tired of his refusal to commit to marriage. Directed by John Hughes (SIXTEEN CANDLES, THE BREAKFAST CLUB), this film was shot in various Illinois locations.

True to the cute, winking title of her Heads Up debut, the glamorous and funky Dutch sax superstar offers a tasty little bagful of everything to please the funky, smooth, and exotic taste buds of jazz and R&B fans around the world. There’s feisty, blistering jamming with multiple horn textures and jangling guitars (the sizzling opening track “Candy”), easy grooving, melodic old-school soul (“L.A. Citylights”), raw and thumping, brassy party singalongs (“Music = Love,” the buoyant and breezy “Summertime”), and even a scorching Latin/Caribbean island dance-along (“La Cabana”) and a jaunt to Jamaica (the jumpy, lilting “Smokin’ Gun”). Dulfer’s always had a little of that classic David Sanborn touch in her sound, and that inspiration shines through on the low-key, late-night vibing of “11:58,” one of a few rich ballads here. The dreamy ’70s jazz-soul trip “Soulsax” draws the listener back, ever so subtly, to the Earth, Wind & Fire style of balladeering. All of these add up to a truly inspired and energized date that gloriously brings Dulfer back to the hard hitting, emotionally compelling magic she achieved on her second album, 1993’s Sax-A-Go-Go. She’d been a consistent hitmaker since then, but was never quite as freewheeling and playful as she was in the early days. In the intervening years, Dulfer developed from a strong natural pop player into a true jazz stylist and improviser, and the maturity shines through even as the party continues. Best of all, she thankfully pulls 180 degrees away from the over the top electronic production of 2003’s Right in My Soul, a disc that, although meaning well, covered her rich R&B and jazz heart with too much machinery. While Dulfer collaborates with longtime partners Thomas Bank and Ulco Bed, keyboardist, bassist, and vocalist Chance Howard — a longtime member of Prince’s band — adds an extra charge to the mix with the same bounce and fire that he added to her live performances in the early 2000s. Candy Store was easily one of contemporary jazz’s finest and funkiest releases of 2007. [This version of Candy Store includes the bonus track "Finsbury Park, Cafe 67 (2007 Version)."] ~ Jonathan Widran, Rovi Performers: Candy Dulfer – Vocals (Background), Fender Rhodes, Sax (Tenor), Sax (Baritone), Sax (Alto), Vocals; Thomas Bank – Fender Rhodes, Keyboards; Jan Van Duikeren – Trumpet; John Blackwell – Drums; Manuel Hugas – Bass; Ulco Bed – Bass, Guitar
When a Canadian Mountie is killed by an Indian, his partner tracks down the man to avenge the death. The film is also known as Alien Thunder. ~ John Bush, Rovi Voice (Gordon Tootoosis) is arrested for stealing government livestock. He escapes, but is soon being sought out for a murder. Over the course of the next year, both men are driven by their longing for justice. Part action film, part western, DAN CANDY’S LAW is a testament to the human fight for survival.
John Terlesky (aka Brother JT) continues his exploration of musical inner space on 2007’s Third Ear Candy, which finds him in relatively playful form, embracing electronics and sampling and sounding surprisingly funky for an acid-head edging into middle age. While you have to possess a very specific mindset to dance to most of the stuff on Third Ear Candy, JT does have a genuine feel for a groove, and there’s a gleeful sway to “I Am the Blob” and “Soul Kandy” that suggests somebody getting on what could pass for a good foot, and though “quirky” doesn’t begin to describe this music, the psychedelic accents that bob in and out of the mix (gurgling synths, droning keyboards, distorted vocals, panning that sweeps back and forth) mesh with the beats like some lysergic variation on hip-hop or contemporary R&B. JT also finds room for the languid mood of “Glowinya,” the organic blues-accented “Jat Blues,” and the ominous tones of “Medication” (which samples Mussorgsky’s “Night on Bald Mountain”), but for the most part Third Ear Candy leans toward a lighter mood, with JT blissfully letting his freak flag fly as he comes “to rob you of your problems.” Terlesky stakes out a territory on this album that could easy sound utterly ridiculous, but his musical instincts are keen enough that the tunes carry the day even at their trippiest, and he delivers this sunshine-speak with enough conviction to overpower any doubters — on Third Ear Candy, Brother JT sounds like the last of the psychedelic true believers, and he’s got a fine aural prescription for you to try. ~ Mark Deming, Rovi Performers: April Barholomew – Vocals (Background); April Bartholomew – Vocals (Background), Bass
